Hi, I'm Shubham Shandilya
Building security features at Amazon OpenSearch Service. Previously worked on Android telephony at Samsung. I enjoy solving complex problems and writing about what I learn along the way.
About Me
I'm currently a Software Development Engineer 2 at Amazon OpenSearch Service, where I focus on building security features that keep customer data safe. My work involves implementing critical enhancements like TLS 1.3 and Perfect Forward Secrecy—basically making sure data stays protected as it moves through the system. There's something deeply satisfying about knowing your code helps protect millions of customers' information every day.
Before Amazon, I spent 2 years at Samsung Research Institute diving deep into Android's telephony stack— specifically the RIL (Radio Interface Layer), which is the bridge between your phone's software and the cellular modem. Think of it as making sure your calls connect, messages send, and data flows smoothly.
I graduated with a B.Tech in Information Technology from NIT Patna. In my leisure time, I enjoy creating animations and generative art with p5.js and Processing.
